Francois Caen started his career as a Linux sysadmin during the dotcom era. As an open-source advocate, he has lectured on OSS topics, co-authored the Linux Toolbox book series and served as president of the Tacoma Linux Users Group.
In the mid 2000s, Francois started a slow transition from sysadmin to network engineering. For over a decade, he designed, built and supported networks in diverse environments including SMBs, cellular carriers, international financial firms and government agencies.
In 2015, Francois joined Cisco as a Systems Engineer covering Public Sector customers.
In his spare time, Francois rides his road bike or works on building his next race car.
