Michael is currently a Field Service Technician for CompuCom Systems, Inc. In his spare time for the last 10 years he has been doing Freelance work for small businesses, start-ups and handling projects for larger companies and government agencies.  From 2009 to 2012 while attending college he worked for multiple firms as a freelance Developer and then moved back into freelancing for other firms after graduation in 2012. While at college he also created and currently runs the Web Application Programming Technology Users Group at WapTug.Com and teaches others about various web application technology at monthly meet-ups.

 

Michael has several years of experience in the areas of Web Development/Design and Content Management.  He teaches at Bellevue College Continuing Education teaching WordPress. He is a reseller of web services and domain name registration services for GeekZoneHosting.Com. He has used every aspect of the LAMP environment from building bare metal Linux servers to working on VPS and Open Stack Cloud9 Servers. 

 

He was exposed to websites with thousands of visitors.  He worked on the HTML5 applications for single page interactive landing pages.  He worked with WordPress and Joomla dealing with content management and shareable content and inserted/edited content.  He is also developing a WordPress website for a group of 2,500 Churches and is currently building WordPress powered sites for a number of local businesses in the Seattle area

 

He has 6 years PHP experience and started out with base PHP websites, before he went on to WordPress and Joomla and with that has 6 years of WordPress through PHP. 

 

He has worked with bootstrap using it as a skeleton for websites and integrating a boiler plate to make them responsive and HTML5 form validation and CSS resets.  At Sign2Me he was hired as Web Developer.  He was responsible for web design, database development and email campaigns through Constant Contact and building a membership website in Joomla and WordPress.  Most of the websites were WordPress and Joomla and he did troubleshooting, form creation, plug-in fixes and cross browser compatibility checking. 

 

Michael works well in a team environment and is an effective and motivational leader, but is also self-sufficient and able to work independently.  He has strong follow through and is able to manage multiple projects and priorities.
