I'm an experienced software developer, who is kind of a generalist: I know a bit about a whole lot of stuff, but I'm not the foremost expert on anything.  I have the most experience with C and Python, but I fondly remember my time spent working in FORTH.  These days I'm doing a lot with databases.

I live in Kirkland, WA (near Seattle) with my wife and a couple of cats.  When I'm not working I ride a bicycle, work out, play board games and video games.

I've been using Linux since the 1990's and I have written articles for Linux Journal magazine.
