Seth Schoen is Senior Staff Technologist at the Electronic Frontier Foundation in San Francisco. As the first-ever Staff Technologist at EFF, he has helped EFF lawyers and activists understand and respond to changing technologies and their implications for individual freedoms.

A returning speaker at LinuxFest Northwest, Seth is currently working on the roll-out of the Let's Encrypt certificate authority, a service of the Internet Security Research Group.
