Monte is a language for the niche of "secure distributed computation", enabling programs that securely communicate across networks and scale to large distributed systems. It is the spiritual successor to the E programming language, which had the same goals but did not see wide adoption. We'll examine the design and features of Monte, and look at some problems that it is designed to handle.
