Facilitation Skills for Team Leads
Facilitation taps into the hearts, minds, and spirits of all who are present. It values the contribution of each individual. It then guides the group towards a collective way forward, if not a decision. This is done in a way that respects the individual and respects the group. This session will introduce you to facilitation skills:
- to lead effective meetings and projects;
- to build cross-functional teams across multiple departments and organizations;
- as a style or posture of leadership.
This session will be facilitated by Wan How. He is trained facilitator and has led facilitation sessions for cross-functional teams, software development projects, and non-profit organizations. Wan is a graduate of Cambridge University (MA) and Regent College (MCS). He also holds the PMI Project Management Professional certification. Note: If accepted, I would like this to be a 50 minute session on Sat, April 25. I only intend to attend on that day.
