GetMakered: the Mobile 3D Factory of the Future
GetMakered is a mobile 3D scanning & printer studio built in collaboration with the Coast Makers group of British Columbia. Inspired by Maker Faires and Makerbots, we've kitted out a 1964 AlJo Sportsman trailer with a mobile 3D Scanning Studio & Printer Farm and taking it on the road.
The MakerOne trailer enables us to delivery of 3D services and educational training workshops on site and on demand.
The first mobile 3D Design Studio called "MakerOne" is outfitted with a human-sized turntable to facilitate doing full body scans of people and print them as "action figures" and "busts" on demand.
Conference attendees can come to MakerOne mobile studio which would be parked outside the entrance to the LinuxFest NW and "Get Makered".
GetMakered's mission is to work with and inspire others to create a fleet of the Mobile Factories of the Future as community-run micro-operations with products built on-demand closer to their points-of-purchase.
