Diagnosing OpenDocument Issues
OASIS OpenDocument Format (ODF) is the standards-based file format used by Apache OpenOffice, LibreOffice, and many other tools, even Microsoft Office (albeit poorly). As open and standardized as it is, what do you do if you have a problem with a file? It's just another binary blob, unless you know how to troubleshoot and fix it. In this talk, I'll describe the tools to diagnose the metadata, data, and code inside ODF documents, focus on ways to identity security issues, as well as repair corrupt media. The right audience would be advanced LibreOffice users, system administrators, and security researchers.
