Camlistore (Content-Addressable Multi-Layer Indexed Storage) is an Apache 2.0 licensed open source Content Management System. A personal data storage system with the goal of providing a backup for social content spanning a lifetime. The UI is in React.js (same as Instagram). Influenced by the relative short time blogging and storage platforms stay around compared to family heirlooms like photograph albums passed down over generations. Unlike many social online storage systems that feed ad-tech, Camlistore defaults to private and requires personal hosting. We'll discsuss options for deploying and hosting camlistore.org (scroll down see 2014 FOSDEM video w/ Brad Fitzpatrick for more).
